Bent Head Baroque Lutes




Here is an example of the later style of 13 course German Baroque lute, with theorboed basses rather than small bass and treble riders. the extension is carved out of one piece with fretted panels of filigree bent and inlaid. This one is based on the Dieffopruchar-Edlinger shell,Vienna AR 969, with a fretted mensur of 75cm. The shell is flat and the extension is lightweight, making it an easy lute to hold. Great sound from the long basses. Price $6,000
